Belt Scales

Belt scales play a simple, yet critical role in the process of weighing bulk material. Everything from discharging from silos, transfers within facilities, handling raw materials from ships and trains, our belt scales can achieve and maintain an accuracy of up to 0.125%. They can be quickly integrated into existing production lines. Their sturdy design ensures reliability and requires minimal maintenance.

For belt scales spread across multiple locations or at a long distance, a motorized test weight offers a convenient remote calibration solution.

Single-roller Belt scale

Model: EBW-E-C2

Series EBW-E-C2 belt scales are suitable for installation into existing conveyor belt systems. In single-roller belt scales the idle roller is strategically placed over a high-precision load cell to measure bulk materials. It works in conjunction with a digital tachometer to accurately measure the weight of the material in transit. The real-time weight-per-hour readings of the processed material are provided.

Standard Features:
  • Universal bearing paired with high-precision load cell DMS

  • Robust, steel-constructed weighing bridge

  • Idle roller

  • Digital tachometer

Capacities & Ranges:
  • Capacity: 1 t/hr – 10,000 t/hr

  • Accuracy: +/- 1.0%

  • Belt Width: 300 – 2,800 mm

  • Belt speed: 0.1 m/s – 2 m/s

  • Bulk density: 100 kg/m³ – 4,000 kg/m³

  • Incline angle: +/- 20 degrees

  • ATEX versions available

Multi-roller Belt scale

Model: EBW-M-C2

These scales are designed for situations that require the highest precision, such as when official verification is mandatory. Two or more idle rollers are installed, increasing the measurement length, thus enabling faster conveying speeds without compromising accuracy. Low capacities are also attainable due to this design. Legal for trade versions are available (MID).

Standard Features:
  • Universal bearing paired with high-precision DMS load cell

  • Durable, steel-supported weighing bridge

  • Two (or more) idle rollers

  • Digital tachometer

Capacities & Ranges:
  • Capacity: 1 t/hr – 10,000 t/hr

  • Accuracy: +/- 0.5%

  • Belt Width: 300 – 2,800 mm

  • Belt speed: 0.1 m/s – 3 m/s

  • Bulk density: 100 kg/m³ – 4,000 kg/m³

  • Incline angle: +/- 20 degrees

  • ATEX versions available

Multi-roller M4 belt scale

Model: EBW-M4

Suitable for installation into existing conveyor belt systems. The multiple roller belt scale is applied for very high accuracy requirements and if the belt speed is very high. The transmission of the load to the load cell will be conducted by leverage or the weighing bridge is mounted on several load cells. It works in conjunction with a digital tachometer to accurately measure the weight of the material in transit.

Standard Features:
  • Universal bearing paired with high-precision DMS load cell

  • Durable, steel-supported weighing bridge

  • Two (or more) idle rollers

  • Digital tachometer

Capacities & Ranges:
  • Capacity: 1 t/hr – 10,000 t/hr

  • Accuracy: +/- 0.125% – +/- 0.25%

  • Belt Width: 300 – 2,800 mm

  • Belt speed: 0.1 m/s – 5.0 m/s

  • Bulk density: 100 kg/m³ – 4,000 kg/m³

  • Incline angle: +/- 20 degrees

  • ATEX versions available

Pipe Conveyor Scale

Model: EBW-M-R-0

The series EBW-M-R-ø comprises multiple roller belt scales, meticulously designed for integration into existing "pipe conveyors." These modified roller stations are mounted on a roller station bridge over the load cells, enabling this type of scale to achieve high precision. They are utilized for measuring and totalizing bulk material flow. A digital tacho is provided for speed measurement, which operates either on the return belt or is attached to the tail pulley.

Capacities & Ranges:

Apron Conveyer Belt scale

Model: EBW-P

The integrated belt scale, seamlessly incorporated into the existing apron conveyor, primarily facilitates the measurement of clinker production post kiln operation. It's affixed to a rail system where single plates are transported via wheels, all anchored on the scale. This sturdy construction allows for the belt scale's installation in plate conveyors with inclinations up to 40 degrees, making it apt for handling materials at elevated temperatures.

Capacities & Ranges:
  • Capacity: 5 t/hr - 500 t/hr

  • Accuracy: +/- 1.0% – +/- 3.0%

  • Belt Width: 400 - 1,400 mm

  • Belt speed: 0.1 m/s – 1.0 m/s

  • Bulk density: 500 kg/m³ – 4,000 kg/m³

  • Incline angle: +/- 40 degrees

  • Temperature: up to 600 degrees Celcius

  • ATEX versions available

Motorized Test Weight

In situations where the belt scale is located at a long distance, we offer, as an option, a motorized test weight. This is a test weight that comes with a built-in motor that is activated through our software. The test weight is automatically placed upon commad to perform the calibration. Then the system electronically removes the test weight and normal operation resumes.
